Unit gives U5 code within a minute of starting spin, just senses and throws code. The RPS sensor on this model is built into stator. The only option for attempting repairs on this particular model would be replacing stator, harness and main controller with no guarantee, and there is still a good chance it does not work. Pretty much just have tenant's description of the issue as well as a video she took while the washer was running. It is randomly stopping during the cycle and has to have the start button pressed to continue. Sometimes it will go through a cycle. Looks like one time it did show dr on the display when it stopped. This is not listed as a possible error anywhere in the tech literature for this unit. It also does not have an error code recall option built in. Soft reset through diagnostic cycle mode. Hard reset. Washer does all basic functions while testing. Could not replicate failure. Recommended tenant try a couple more cycles and report back. Range has been giving intermittent 5 5 error on the large oven. Have never been able to get it to happen while testing. The only recommendation Thermador gives for this error is to replace the oven selector switch with the updated version of the part. Installed new large oven selector switch. Tested ok to 350 but need to bake multiple times now to see if the error is corrected. If the error persists, the next step would be to replace the main control board.
